

She was born at her home in Salt Lake City, Utah on March 21, 1917 to Irene Romney and George Franklin Coulam, Sr. She had a happy life at home with her older brother, George and sister, Ruth (Meeks).
Mother was a diligent student as she attended the Wm. M. Stewart School on the U of U campus in grades 1-9, East High School and LDS Business College. She worked for the YMMIA and then the US Smelting Refining and Mining Company in the Newhouse Building in the accounting department in Salt Lake City.
She was married to Trace Taylor Cannon on March 21, 1941 in the Salt Lake Temple by President David O. McKay. They moved to Ogden, Utah and lived there all of their married life.
Mother was one to do her best in all things. She lived a life of kindness, love and service. Her love for her husband and family and posterity were foremost to her. Mother always had a smile for all she met. She is loved by many.
As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served as a Primary worker, President of the Primary and Relief Society and in many other callings. Both Mother and Dad served as Ordinance workers in the Ogden Utah Temple.
Surviving are her five sons and one daughter: Douglas (Sally Summerill), Kaysville, Utah; Mark, Orem, Utah; Kathryn (Bruce) Ballard, Murray, Utah; Paul (Diana Armstrong), Salt Lake City, Utah; John (Da’nell Geddes), Boise, Idaho; and Scott (Emily Lichfield), Bountiful, Utah, 29 grandchildren, 71 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her husband, a stillborn son, Alan, a brother and a sister.
Funeral services will be held at the Foothills Ward Chapel, 1475 Cahoon Street, Ogden, Utah on Friday, October 30, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. A viewing will be held Thursday, October 29, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Foothills Ward and from 9:30-10:45 A.M. prior to the funeral.
