Marjorie Ruth LeFevre

Marjorie Ruth Rushton LeFevre, age 78, of Herriman, Utah passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2021. Marjorie was born October 11, 1942 to Howard Leon & Thelma Ruth Jenkins Rushton in Salt Lake City, Utah. She attended Cyprus High School and graduated Class of 1961. She married M. McKay LeFevre on May 31, 1963 in the Salt Lake Temple.

Marge was a one of a kind. She was very caring, kindhearted, thoughtful and loving to everyone she knew. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many church callings. Working with young women was one of her very favorite callings. She enjoyed painting, doing crafts, sewing, quilting, and most of all working in her yard. She looked forward to spring every year so she could plant her flowers and beautify her yard.

Marge worked as a librarian for Hercules/Alliant Tech Systems for many years and retired in 1998. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, especially cruising with their close friends, the Allens. She was a great cook and loved having her family together for dinners. She was quick to offer anyone who entered her home something good to eat. Her creamed eggs, popovers, Portuguese steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, and marshmallow brownies, among other things, will be greatly missed! Marge's family was her priority. She was a dedicated wife and mother, then grandma and great-grandma. There's no other way she'd rather spend her time than with her family.

She also loved spending time with her many friends, too, especially if it involved getting a double cheeseburger with extra pickles and a Diet Coke! Marge will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Marge is survived by her two children: Andrea Armstrong and Bryan (Shelly) LeFevre; siblings: Jim (Judy) Rushton, Bob (Evon) Rushton, Kathy (Ben) Sundblom, Sandy (Jim) Wheeler, and Bruce (Colleen) Rushton; grandchildren: Desiree (Brett) Jensen, McKaylee LeFevre, Brede (Zach) Pfeil, Brett Armstrong and Rylee LeFevre; great grandchildren: Dax Davis, George Jensen, and Eleanor Jensen. She was preceded in death by her husband, McKay LeFevre and her parents Howard and Thelma Rushton.

A public viewing for Marjorie will be held Friday, August 13, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Valley View Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, Utah 84120. A viewing prior to service will occur Saturday, August 14, 2021 from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM at Hunter 2nd Ward House, 3970 South 5200 West, West Valley City, UT 84120. Funeral services will occur Saturday, August 14, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Hunter 2nd Ward, 3970 South 5200 West, West Valley City, UT 84120.
