It is with a heavy heart that I would like to announce the passing of my beautiful mother, Marjorie Jean Pagel. She passed away on the morning of June 3rd, 2025, at the age of 82 in Murray, Utah. Marjorie was born on April 4, 1943, in Washington, D.C., to Paul Joseph Dumm and Edith Alberta Fenton. She had an outgoing personality that drew people to her from all walks of life, and she made friends easily everywhere she went. From the Walmart pharmacy, to the bank, to her many ward houses, to everywhere she lived, including her care center.
Marjorie was known for her love of gardening, her love of history, and her love of cooking. Wherever she lived, she planted beautiful flowers in the surrounding gardens and flower beds. She enjoyed doing genealogy for her own family and others. She traced her own family back multiple generations on both parents’ sides. She possessed an inner strength that guided her through many trials throughout her life, including the struggles of polio and divorce.
Marjorie met her husband, Albert James Pagel, at an American Legion Center, and after 6 months of dating, they married at St Paul’s Lutheran church on May 12, 1967. Even though the marriage didn’t last, three beautiful children resulted from the union. Del Kinswoman, Kathleen (Dennis) Moore, and Joe Pagel. She is survived by all three children, eight grandchildren, LD Cox, Sierra Lamb, Chris Moore, Daniel Kinsman, Sabra (Justin) Nesbit, Kadence Kinsman, Ren Kinswoman, and Hannah (Michael) Howland. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren, Ari Lamb, Lyla Nesbit, and Jackson Nesbit. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul Joseph Dumm and Edith Alberta Fenton.
She worked many years in the jewelry industry at OC Tanner and several years in the travel industry with Southwest Airlines and Intercontinental Hotels as a reservationist.
