Born on July 1, 1942, to Giles and Marjorie Frampton. Marge grew up in the Salt Lake Valley and graduated in 1960 from South High School. She married Ronald Homer Smith in 1962 and gave birth to their daughter Lori in 1963 and their son Kevin in 1966. She enjoyed camping at Smith & Morehouse with her husband and their children and grandchildren.
After she was widowed in 1994, Marge continued to work until she retired from Condie’s Foods. She spent her retirement with her partner, Dewey Jones, and tending to her great grandkids until they became school aged. She would tell everyone she was “older than dirt,” however we all knew her to be young at heart, playing on the floor with the kids.
Marge was best known for her love and care for her family, quick wit, and love of Elvis and country music.
Marge is survived by her partner Dewey Jones and his family; her daughter Lori (Ken) Petersen; grandchildren Tiffany (Ben) Conner, Lacey Gillet, Kayla (Chris) Kinsman, Kendra (Shaun) Vannett, Bryson Smith, Casey (Stephanie) Petersen, and Trystin (Sky) Leighton; great-grandchildren Bailey, Carter, Keegan, Alexius, Treyton, Colton, Cade, Owen, Austyn, Emersyn, Waylon, Harper, Ashton, Amilee, Luke, Max, Hadleigh, and Kallyn; her brother, Terry (Pat) Frampton, as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Marjorie and Giles Frampton; stepmother Bertha Frampton; husband Ron Smith, son Kevin Smith, and granddaughter Tahnee Smith; and siblings Barbara Godfrey, Dale Frampton, Hal Stonebraker, and Burt Frampton.
A special thank you to the staff at Beehive Homes of Herriman and Auburn Crest Health and Hospice.
