Dear Aunt Lu
My hart is so sad and glad at the same time.  I  know that he is in heaven with family and very happy there.  I'm so proud of the way Boyd has grown to a man as great as his father.  He will be a great help for you.  And sweet loving Kay, she is so beautiful.  She too will give you much love and support. I pray for Debbie to heal quickly.  She loved her Dad so much and her mom too.  It was always fun to be with your family.  Reunions,camping trips BQ's and all the Christmases.  There was so much love in your family.  I will love and miss Uncle Martin.  But will always have found memories.  Love you much Barbara

Dear Luwanna and family,
I was saddened to hear of Martin's passing and tried to get off work to attend his funeral but was unable to. As he and Luwanna were such good friends of my parents [Neldon and Joline Holt]I really felt a need to attend as they would have, as they would have wanted to see you and give their love and support. I am so sorry and pray for your comfort with your loss. Martin was always so kind and sweet to us, he always had a smile and I am sure he will be very missed by many friends and family.

Where do I begin...Since 1982 Debbie and I have been friends, sisters of the gospel, and the whole family accepted me just like another daughter, along with my boys. The camping trips, parties, bbq's, 4-H, Missionary Farewell, New Year's Eve, Christmas family parties, Baptisms, you name it, your family is the best. Dad Black (to me) has always been the example of a Dad to me, getting my own Dad out camping, enjoying the out of doors.  You could always count on Martin to dig the latrene and have it ready to go for the family.  Dinners were always yummy, whether in the dutch oven, or some other way; and waking up to breakfast cooking, mmmmm.  Then the quiet times of Louie LeMour, Lu knitting, crotcheting, which ever one, I can't say that I ever enjoyed any family as much as I do yours.  I will miss the stalwart, hardworking, yet gentle head of this family. You deserve a rest. Mom Black, you will be cared for, I know by loving daughters, son, son-in-laws, and lots of grandchildren. Enjoy them all as you wait for your turn to return home, to be together, never again to part.  Love to all,
