She passed away on Saturday April 4, 2026 leaving behind a legacy of devoted love and never giving up.
Born and raised in Utah, she was born with Cerebral Palsy and blind. After 10 surgeries throughout her life, starting at the tender age of three. She did not let anything or anyone stop her from living life to the fullest.
She loved swimming and her favorite part of the playground were the swings. Her favorite time of the year was Halloween, when her sisters would sneak her out of the house and go Trick-or-Treating and not tell their parents.
Her most unforgettable costume was Snow White. Fitting her perfectly with her light skin and dark hair.
Her father was religious when sneaking in a KitKat bar for them to share before dinner. (her favorite chocolate bar).
She loved having her hair stroke and when her mother would put on her favorite music.
She knew she could always count on her brother to take her outside where she could feel the breeze on her face. A quiet reminder that she was alive and that life, on all its forms, was still hers to experience.
She surprised the doctors but not her family. when they were told she would not live past the age of 16 her family chose to believe something greater. And she proved them right, living a beautiful life until the age of 35, surrounded every step of the way by her Mother, Father and three siblings.
On the final chapter of her life, she was cared for with tenderness in Hospice and passed peacefully at home, just as her family had hoped.
She is survived not only by her immediately family, but by a large circle of Aunts, Uncles, cousins, and countless others whose lives were forever changed simply by knowing her.
She taught everyone around her what strength really looks like, not loud or boastful, but quiet, steady, and unbreakable. She carried patience in a way most of us spend a lifetime trying to learn and she faced life with courage that never asked for recognition.
But more than anything, she loved. She loved being here, she loved the small sacred moments that others might overlook.
She found her greatest joy in the simplest things.
She didn't just live longer than expected, she showed everyone around her how to slow down . How to love harder, and how to find beauty even in the hardest moments.
Her life was not defined by limitations, but by love, resilience and the way she made people feel. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, he quiet strength and the love she gave so freely.
And in the smallest, sweetest way, she will always be remembered for her love of the occasional KitKat.
