1960-2015
Michael Scott Wallin passed away peacefully on Friday, February 13th 2015 at age 54. Born November 6th, 1960 to Keith and Barbara Wallin. He married Connie Blackburn on August 6th, 1982
Michael Wallin was a man loved by all. Everyone who met him was wrapped up in his charm and positive personality. He was genuine, caring, and very kind. In his passing, he left behind a wife and two children.
Michael devoted his life to his family, the outdoors, and learning new things. He would put all he had into his projects and took pride in all he created, whether it was his yard, his children or his marriage.
His pastimes included camping, fishing, and photography. He spent hours perfecting his yard and home. He loved to take his family and pets out to the mountains to relax, teach, learn, and to enjoy the serene peace that they offered.
He loved to learn new things, whether it was fly-fishing, golf, or computers. Michael always found something new to learn and master.
His kindness knew no boundaries. He greeted everyone with an open heart and open mind. Everyone who met him walked away a changed person. If it was not his natural charm and charisma, it was his inviting smile and outgoing personality. Ever the optimist, he took each challenge and difficulty with a smile, knowing we would triumph. Through heart procedures, and a heart transplant, his optimism was ever growing.
He enjoyed various forms of music from classical to modern rock, especially the greats; Styx, Kansas, Queen and Rush. Going to concerts with his wife and children was always one of his favorite activities. He loved spending time with his family through concerts, dining out, or even general discussions on the couch. Time spent was always quality time spent in his eyes.
On Friday, February 13th 2015, the world lost an amazing soul. He touched every life whom he met. His kind heart knew no bounds. His family can take peace and comfort in knowing he passed in the comfort and peace of his own home.
His love and thirst for life shines in his family. His beautiful wife Connie, son Bruce and beautiful daughter Jessica, and a world of friends and family including, but not limited to Parents Keith and Barbara Wallin, Sisters Becky (Stewart) Allen and Kristi (David) Spencer, and Brothers Rick (Katherine) Wallin and Carey (Barbara) Wallin as well as dozens of nieces and nephews. Michael taught us patience, kindness, and perseverance, and above all, to never forget "Who we are and what we stand for."
We love and miss you immensely. You were an amazing man, and your family has every intention of passing on the life lessons you taught. Thank you for all you became and showed this world.
