Newal Julander

Newal Stewart Julander, age 92, passed away December 6, 2010 in West Valley City, Utah.

Newal was born August 8, 1918 in Sevier, Utah to Neal Julander and Adrean Stewart. He attended two years of college. He married Lorna Olsen, they were married for 43 years. He married Elsie Hall, they have been married for 16 years. He was a very patient, kind man. He was proud of being a Lieutenant in the Merchant Marines. He spent 30 years as Head Engineer at Primary Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles. He enjoyed visiting with all his family members and grandchildren. His hobbies were horse racing and playing keno in the casino.

Newal is survived by his loving wife, Elsie; stepchildren, Karen Hall Darton (Melvin) and Ken Hall; siblings, Delos (Nola), Larry (Ann) and Beth Geslison; sister-in-law, Ilene; grandchildren, Douglas (Andrea) Darton, Leisa Wright, and Diane Albert; great grandchildren, Kaitlen and Zachary Newal Wright, Brooke, Jacob, Ethan and Reagan Darton. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Paul and Afton.

Graveside Services will be held Saturday, December 11, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West 4100 South. The family will receive friends at a visitation one hour prior to the service on Saturday at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South.
