Norma was born, in Lehi, Utah, on April 27, 1933, which was a beautiful spring day. Her father is Morris Franklin Wade and her sweet mother is Estella Viola Roe. Norma has eight siblings: Thelma, Lariece, Edna, Hugh, Bernice, Renae, Susan, and Moe.
Norma was married and sealed to her sweetheart, William Clyde Brock, in the Salt Lake Temple, on November 30, 1950. Clyde and Norma were blessed with four children: Patricia, David, Cathy, and Margie.
Norma is a faithful daughter of God. She is a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Norma lived the Gospel of Jesus Christ each day, and she is a great example for all of us to look up to and to follow. Throughout her life, Norma took each of her church callings very seriously. She wanted others to also know what she knew to be true.
Norma has music in her soul. She had no formal music training, and as it turns out, she didn’t need any, because she was blessed with the gift of music.
Norma enjoyed working on genealogy. She felt a connection with those who came before her, in this life. She spent many hours gathering the life histories of others, hoping her efforts would help those who now follow her, after her passing. Norma also worked diligently on her home computer, with the Name Extraction Program. She loved still being able to serve the Lord, even though she couldn’t get out much.
Norma is an excellent seamstress. She could sew anything, with perfection. She made clothing for her children to wear, and we were the best dressed kids around. Norma really enjoyed reading, working jigsaw puzzles, and she was always ready to do a crossword puzzle. She also enjoyed crocheting, quilting by hand, embroidery, and many more handicrafts, too. As an accomplished homemaker, she took pride in keeping a beautiful and organized home. Norma stayed home, taking care of her family, teaching us, and loving us.
Norma returned to her loving Heavenly Father, and to her Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 1st, 2022. We rejoice that her passing was peaceful, and we know that her heavenly reunion, with her departed loved ones, especially with Clyde, was filled with great joy and happiness, beyond measure.
Norma is survived by her children: Patricia Morrill, David Brock, Cathy Brock, and Margie and John Woodward. Norma has seven Grandchildren, 19 Great-grandchildren, and two Great-Great-Grandchildren. Norma is also survived by her two sisters and a brother: Renae Gilley, Susan and Virgil Bird, and Moe and Penny Wade.
Norma was preceded in death by: Her husband, William Clyde Brock, her son-in-law, Jack Morrill, a granddaughter, Michelle Taylor, and a great-granddaughter, River Henderson.
