Norman George Batt, Sr, aged 90, passed away peacefully with his son by his side on March 8, 2022 in South Jordan, Utah. He was born November 25, 1931 in Salt Lake City, UT to Seth and Erma Beagley Batt. He married Jacqueline Marie Lee, July 26, 1950 (deceased) and their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They celebrated 63 years together.
Norm retired from Kennecott after 33 years and later Olympus High School for 10 years. Norm had a passion for camping, fishing and hunting and loved his family, especially the little grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughter, Arlene (Gary) Beckstead of Las Vegas, NV; son, Norman Jr. (Debbie) of Garden City, UT; daughter, Sandra Batt-Withers of Los Angeles, CA; 10 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren; three brothers: Dick, Mondell and Robert. He is preceded in death by three brothers: Jack, Seth and Carl.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, UT. Friends and Family may visit from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow services at Valley View Memorial Park.
