

Paul Ernest Braunberger, Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle and Friend passed away on February 11, 2022 peacefully in his home in the loving arms of his wife, Sylvia and his children, into the arms of his parents and grandparents.
Paul was born May 2, 1955. He graduated from Kearns High School where he graduated in the top 10% of his class. He served on the Seminary council and helped plan a pioneer trek for his graduating class. Later he went to Martins Cove with the youth in 2003 and in 2009 he helped plan an additional trek to Edmonton, Utah for his ward. He served a mission to the England Leeds/England Manchester Mission where he served in leadership positions. Upon returning home he married his wife, the former Sylvia Veblungsnes on June 3, 1978 in the Salt Lake Temple. He then attended Utah Technical College and received an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Auto body and Paint in 1980, a second Degree in Auto body Repair and Paint in 1981. Returning to school he received an Associate of Applied Science in Electronics in 1998.
He loved hiking and camping with the family. He had a love gardening, he designed and built the front garden. He loved working with his hands and finished three basements. He could read a book on anything and then complete a project successfully. He was famous for his mouth popping and his happy birthday ice cream clown scoop. He worked 23 years for GE and won numerous awards for his improvement ideas. He devoted himself to making life comfortable for his family. He was a loving father who took time to spend with each child throughout the year and individually during the Christmas season. He loved laughing. Whatever room he was in hilarity ensued. With his great sense of humor that always had everyone in stitches and smiling. He found joy in serving in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in numerous callings, including ward clerk and 2nd counselor in the Bishopric blessing the lives of many.
He lived by the scripture in Matthew 22:37-39; "Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind." "This is the first and great commandment." "And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself." He served the Lord by helping many in need. He loved to learn. He spent time studying the Gospel extensively, leaving his notes for his posterity. After retiring from GE, it gave him great pleasure to work with his son, investing in Real Estate, flipping homes, doing renovations, obtaining rental properties and lending hard money to others.
He is dearly loved by many and will be sorely missed. He is survived by his wife Sylvia and his 4 children; Heather (Christopher) Barela, Jennifer (Carlos) Chacon, Angela (Robert) Broadbent, Eric (Kelleen) Braunberger; 11 grandchildren, Ryan, Brandon, Matthias, Robbie, Gabriel, Quinton, Kia Brela, Aurora Christine Bohn, Paul Hero Broadbent, Logan Chacon, Lucas Braunberger; Brother Wayne (Shauna) Braunberger, Sister Carol (Ron) Dalton, Sister Ann (Lance) McIntyre, Sister Shari (Rick) Wright. He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family would like to thank the Utah Cancer Society and the Jon Huntsman Cancer Center and Hospice. Also the caregivers who loved and assisted him.
Friends may call on Friday, February 18 for a viewing from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints ward house located at 6253 W 6200 S, West Valley City, Utah and on Saturday, February 19 at the same location from 11:30-12:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow at the same location at 12:30 p.m. Interment at Valley View Cemetery located at 4335 W 4100 S, West Valley City, Utah.
