Penny Kay Bytendorp

Penny Kay Bytendorp passed away December 19, 2021. She was born October 12, 1955 to Arvin Elray and Barbara Jean Selander. She married the love of her life Lain Gilbert Bytendorp July 30, 1977. They were sealed as an eternal family July 30, 1988 in the Jordan River Temple.

Penny was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. Her favorite thing was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandson. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and spent 33 years serving in the primary as a nursery leader and primary teacher.

Penny is survived by her loving husband of 44 years: Lain Bytendorp; daughter Sandra Bytendorp and son James Bytendorp. She is also survived by her brother: Arve (Marylou) Selander, sister Debbie (Tom) Randson. She was immensely proud of her grandchildren: Bradley (Sadee) Allen, Justice Larsen (Andrew Barlow), Bowen, Roxy, Easton Bytendorp and her great-grandson Bradee Allen.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Arvin and Barbara Selander, Albert and Joyce Bytendorp; son Jeremey Bytendorp; her siblings: Donny, Lester (Red), Harold Selander, Gary, and Clara Hackwell.

Funeral services will be held at the Western Hills Stake Center 5380 W 5400 S on Monday December 27, 2021 at 1PM. There will be a viewing prior to services from 11:30AM-12:30PM at same location. Interment at Valley View Memorial Park 4335 W 4100 S.
