Preston J. Barker, age 86, passed away September 14, 2013 in West Valley City, Utah.
Preston was born August 9, 1927 in Greenville, Texas to Jack and Eula Barker. He married Phyllis E. Barker on December 4, 1948 in Washington. Preston was a caring, kind hearted, generous man who would give his only breath to the ones he loved. He loved country music and chocolate milk. He raised his grandson, Dustan Barker from childhood, and was returned the favor by Dustan and his wife, Heather when he was in need of care. The one thing he desired most in life was waiting for the day he could be reunited with his wife, Phyllis, who he loved more than life itself.
Preston is survived by his children, Richard (Peggy) Freitas, Susan (Courtney) Barker and Judy Barker; siblings, Margaret Swindell and Mary Jane Hart; 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and wife.
