

West Valley City, Utah on August 2nd, 2021 at the age of 80 years old. He was born February 28,
1941 to Wallace Randle Wardle and Selma Shiner Wardle in Altonah, Utah. Dee married his high school sweetheart, Villera (Vi) Vonee Urry on December 29th, 1958 in Hunter, Utah. He attended Cyprus High School and Graduated from the United States Armed Forces Institute. He served in the Army National Guard Company B of the 115th Engineer Battalion during the Berlin Crisis.
Dad was a very hard working superintendent for Daw, Inc./Daw Construction Group retiring in 2004. He was a master carpenter and could build anything.
Dee had many hobbies and was good at all of them.
He used to chase and capture wild horses in the desert that he would tame. He was also a jockey.
Dee enjoyed the outdoors and camping with his family. He was an avid hunter and an incredible marksman and fisherman.
The Wardle Family Reunion was one of Dee’s favorite events every year. He loved his family very much and looked forward to the time they spent together.
Every year Grumpa Dee would fill Easter eggs with money and would have a hunt for his grand-children and on Christmas Eve he had a present for each of them. They all looked forward to the gifts he would give!
Dee loved his gaming chickens where he made life-long friends.

Dee is survived by three sisters and a brother, Sally (Jack) Turner; Kathleen (Jim) Smith; Brent Wardle; Vicki Jaterka; Sister-in-law Doris Wardle; and Brother-in-law Carl Boudlen; son, DeeRay (Ginna) Wardle; daughters, Karrie (Alvin) Harvey; Sharrie (Bob) Nelson. He has seven grandchildren, Scotty Nelson, Ryan (Wilma) Nelson, Vonee (Derek) Herndon, Gage Shamy, Chantay (Michael) Horne, Zachory Wardle, Leesa Harvey, and Karrin (Tyler) Gaffney and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Preceded in Death by his parents, wife, Villera Wardle; son, Gary Dee; Brother, Ronald Lee Wardle; Sister Naoma Wardle; Brother-in-law, Chuck Jaterka; Sisters-in-law, Brandy Wardle; and Gene Boulden.

There will be a graveside service held Saturday, August 7th, 2021 at Valley View Memorial Park (4400 West 4100 South) at 2:00 p.m.
