

Rena was born on October 16, 1940 in Salt Lake City, UT to Isabelle (Sessions) Lemon and Clifford Foster. She graduated from South High School. Rena married Paul Delano Waddell on October 15, 1958 and they were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on June 16, 1975. She was an active member of the LDS church and served a service mission in the church’s genealogy library.
Rena had many hobbies including bowling, sewing, crocheting, reading, watching movies, and shopping. She loved genealogy, camping, anything Disney and taking vacations with family, but most of all she loved her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. During her life, Rena was a homemaker and took care of many of her grandchildren while their parents worked. She also worked at the Kearns Oquirrh Park Fitness Center in child care. She loved working with children.
Rena was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by daughters Paulene Waddell, Pamela Hardman, Christene Johnson, Debra (Brett) Lawrence; son Paul (Amanda) Waddell, Jr.; sister Josie Winkler; brother Tom (Miriam) Foster; 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, daughter Cindy Waddell Dixon, son-in-law Bob Johnson, and sisters Rhea Foster and Juanita Dyches.
The family would especially like to thank the staff up at Huntsman Cancer Institute for taking care of our Mom and Grandmother while she was there.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Jordan North 4th Ward, 4270 South Falcon Street (4145 West). Family will receive friends Friday evening 6-8 p.m. at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, and one hour prior at the church on Saturday. Interment will be held at the Valley View Memorial Park.
