Richard Craig Luebbe

Richard was born on July 7, 1937, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Henrietta and Henry Luebbe. His older sister Lyla was excited to welcome him into the family. He graduated from East High School and later joined the United States Air Force and served for four years.

He married the love of his life Gloria on August 22, 1964. They recently celebrated their 62nd anniversary.

He was employed by Kennecott Copper as an electrician for 26 years where he made many longtime friends and retired in 1994.

For most of his life he was an avid fisherman, going as often as he possibly could with family, friends, or anyone else that wanted to go with him. He enjoyed helping neighbors with any project they were working on, especially if it was electrical.

He was looking forward to celebrating Thanksgiving, which was his favorite holiday. He especially enjoyed pumpkin pie.

He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, as well as many other family and friends.

Survived by his wife Gloria, and two daughters, Denise (Ryan) Bliss and Wendy (Todd) Larson.

A viewing will be held Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at 2:00 pm with a short graveside service to follow at 3:00 pm at Valley View Memorial Park.
