Born February 27, 1953 to George M. and Frances J. Di Rienzo.
He graduated from the University of California in 1981 with a B.S. in Environmental Toxicology.
He moved to Salt Lake City, Utah to join DataChem Laboratories, now ALS Environmental, where he worked up until the time of his passing.
Bob met Sherri in the Spring of 2015. Since then, they have shared many adventures together. Bob loved to travel and wanted to show her the world, so he did. They went to California to visit his brother and sister; New Orleans (during a snow storm); the Bahamas; a bus tour through Costa Rica; and even spent a few weeks trotting through Europe.
Bob loved watching or listening to baseball games (Go Giants!), spending time outdoors; camping, fishing, sitting out back watching the stars from his favorite chair, building the biggest fire the backyard pit could handle, or having a movie night on the projector with his friends and family.
Bob was always planning the next big adventure. Trips to take, family dinners, and Sunday donuts.
Bob is survived by Sherri Sheridan; her children Chris (Jennifer) Denner; Alan (Jamie) Denner; Alisha (Matt) Cook and his step-son Jason. Siblings: Janeen Di Rienzo; and James (Julia) Di Rienzo; 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Preceded in death by his parents and older brothers: Tom and George.
Bob’s love for life was infectious. His kindness and love touched everyone who had the opportunity to know him. He will be forever missed, but live on in our hearts, always.
Per his wishes there will be no services, instead a private gathering for family and close friends will be held in his honor.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.ValleyViewFuneral.com for the Dirienzo family.
