Ronald Leo Prince

Ronald was married to Edith Jerrolyn Duggins Prince (Jerry) on May 11, 1957; they were married 58 years. Ronald is survived by his wife Jerry and seven children, David R (Laurie) Prince, Harold F (Jennifer) Prince, Edwin L (Mari) Prince, Kendall W Prince, Leo H (Theresa) Prince, DeNise (Bret) Prince Wilkinson, Lisa (Matt) Prince Stott, and his sister Lida Marlene Prince Layton Pierce. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. Ronald is preceded in death by his parents, William H Prince and Lida Cox Prince; as well as his brothers, Douglas F Prince, William Wayne Prince, Jack R Prince, and George F. Prince.

Ronald was born in St. George, Washington County, Utah. He served a LDS Mission in Norway 1954-55. Military service US Army 1955-1958. Ronald and his brothers owned Prince Block Company. He was in charge of design and maintenance block machinery. Ronald was employed by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints, Temple and Special Project department as a Construction Project Manager. Ronald retired from the Church in 1999. During his 25 years of employment, he was assign to oversee the construction of 30 Temples, Grain elevators, Visitor Center, and the remodel of Church Administration Building. Ronald served as Bishop of Deerfield Ward in West Valley, Utah. In 1999 Ronald and Jerry were called to serve a Mission as the Construction Project Manager of the Nauvoo temple.

Public viewing will be held at Valley View Funeral Home (4335 West 4100 South West Valley City, Utah 84120) Monday June 29 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Viewing prior to funeral service Tuesday June 30 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM. The funeral service will be held on the same day 10:00 AM at Deerfield Chapel (4322 South 5400 West, West Valley City, Utah 84120) Interment will be at Valley View Memorial Park (4335 West 4100 South West Valley City, Utah 84120) Condolences may be sent to the family at www.valleyviewfuneral.com.
