

Rose Marie McCombs (Rosi) 74, passed away on September 11, 2023, in Fruit Heights, Utah surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 18, 1949, in Hohenbostel, Germany, to Erbo and Erika Galke.
She attended South High School and graduated in 1967. She then met and married her first husband Mark John Slayton (deceased) February 16, 1968, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Together they had two amazing daughters Julie Beardall and Dori Rowe. They later divorced.
She then met and married her soulmate Douglas Bail McCombs (deceased) on April 4, 1980, in Clark County, Nevada. Together they had 3 amazing children Erika Pressley, Michael McCombs, and Allison Cornejo.
Rosi is now in her most perfect form, back in the arms of her sweetheart, surrounded by Jesus and the angels. Rosi was a member of the LDS church. She absolutely loved the teachings and loved Bible stories and trivia.
Her family were the most important people in her life. She loved to crochet, Bake, and would also cook amazing meals. She lived by the scripture John 13:34 "A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you." Rosi shared and spread love with everyone she ever met. She was always known to all as the neighborhood mom and grandma.
Rosi is survived by her daughter Julie Beardall (Larry), Doris Rowe, Erika Pressley, Michael McCombs (Tonya), and Allison Cornejo (Jeremy). She is also survived by her Brother Detlef Galke (JaNell), and her sister Christine Galke.
Rosi was preceded in death by her parents Erbo and Erika Galke. Her soulmate Douglas McCombs, and two brothers Hans Galke, and Michael Galke (Raylene).
Rosi was the proud grandma of 25 grandchildren, and the great grandma of 7 great grandchildren, with another on the way.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, September 19, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Rosi's services will follow the next day on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. with a prior visitation starting at 10 a.m., at Valley View Memorial Park, 4335 West 4100 South West Valley City, Utah 84120. We invite all those who would like to come celebrate the life of Rosi. There will also be a luncheon for the family held at the Somerset Ward, 1885 Summerwood Drive Farmington, UT 84025.
We would also like to thank the Nurses, CNA's, and Doctors of the Aspire and Independence Hospice, who helped care for Rosi the last 5 months of her life.
Remember it is not goodbye, but simply "We'll be seeing you."
