Roy Wallace

1920 ~ 2012

Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend passed from this earth on August 2, 2012. His passing leaves a huge void that we will fill with our wonderful memories.

Dad was born on January 12, 1920 to Roy Robert Wallace and Katherine Beatrice Sweeney in San Francisco, California. He proudly served in the Army during World War II receiving an honorable discharge and multiple decorations and citations.

He married our Mom Catherine in 1968. During his life Dad was a mechanic and a top salesman for Electrical Specialty. After his retirement he continued to work as a Handyman; he could build or fix anything. He enjoyed woodworking and fishing with his friend of many years, Lee Reid.

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Cathy; daughters, Anne and Debbie; son-in-law, Mark; grandchildren, Kenna, Austin, Hannah and brother, Paul.

We would like to thank our Mom for taking exceptional care of Dad. Special thanks to Kim and Ramona Sherman, Brooke with Ashby Home Health, and to Curo Hospice: Jennifer, Emily, Jules and Pat, we are truly grateful for the support and care you provided.

Graveside Services will be held Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at 12:00 noon at Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West 4100 South. The family will receive friends at a viewing Monday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South; and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
