Ruby Jewel Gilbert

Ruby Jewel Gilbert Alenazi passed away suddenly on March 24, 2023 in Tremonton, Utah. We are sure she was greeted at the gates of Heaven by her late husband, Tony Gilbert; daughter, Jami Gilbert; and son, Charles Gilbert.

Ruby was born on January 15, 1959 in Sacramento, California. Ruby married her sweetheart, Tony Gilbert, on August 28, 1976 in Reno, Nevada. They were married for 43 years. They loved their 3 children: Jami Gilbert, Sommer Gilbert, and Charles Gilbert.

Ruby started selling Mary Kay in 1989, where she quickly excelled to Sales Director status. This enabled her to own and drive a pink Cadillac. She made many treasured friendships including a chance to meet Mary Kay personally. On February 13, 2019, her husband Tony passed away after a long and painful battle with cancer.

Ruby would later marry Sattam “Tom” Alenazi on August 10, 2021. They enjoyed hunting and fishing together. Ruby was a huge Kansas City Chiefs fan and had the opportunity to attend 2 of their football games with Tom. Ruby cheered so loud at the games that Tom would say, “They can’t hear you,” and Ruby would then reply, “It’s OK, I’ll still cheer anyway.”

Ruby loved her grandkids, Harley and Mikey, so much. They shared a ton of fond memories together.

Ruby has become God’s angel and she is now free from pain. We all miss her so much that our hearts are empty.

Preceded in death by Husband: Tony Gilbert; Daughter: Jami Gilbert; and Son: Charles Gilbert.

Surviving relatives include her Husband: Sattam Alenazi; Daughter: Sommer Gilbert Arbuckle (Michael); Siblings: Donna Lackey and Lee Lackey; Grandchildren: Harley and Michael Arbuckle.

A visitation for family and friends will take place on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 from 9:30 AM-10:45 AM at Valley View Funeral Home 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, Utah. A Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 AM in the chapel. Interment will be at Valley View Memorial Park Sunset Garden 4400 West 4100 South, West Valley City, Utah.
