Our Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother Ruth Foster Bullock passed away on July 30, 2014. Ruth was born Sept. 30, 1923 to George Woodward Foster an Ellen Matheson Foster in Cedar City, Utah. She was the oldest of eight children. After attending public school in Cedar City and one year of college, she took and passed the Civil Service Exam and moved to Salt Lake City, Utah. She was one of the first civilian employees to work for the Navy Department in Clearfield, Utah. She worked for the Navy for seven and a half years.
April 2, 1948 she married Edward Arthur Bullock in the Salt Lake Temple. Ruth was a very talented woman in all aspects of her life, and took on the role of mother to dedicate her life to her family. She worked for Z.C.M.I in the shipping and receiving department for 14 years. She faithfully served the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saint for many years in many positions. Ruth loved the many friends she made in the sixty-six years she lived in Granger, Utah.
Ruth leaves us now to be with family and friends that love her. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Theron; husband, Edward; son Dr. Edward James Bullock. She is survived by her sisters, Shirley, Ferris, Claire; brothers, Clive, Tony and Derrill; children, Sherry (Curtis) Petersen, Peggy Wennergren, Linda (Don) Francis; 6 grandchildren, Misty, Dustin, Thomas, Jessica, Jeff, Jennifer; 3 great granddaughters, Kayla, Holli, Evelyn.
A viewing will be held on Sunday at the Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City from 5:00-7:00 PM and Monday from 9:30-10:30 AM. She will be buried at the St John Cemetery in St John, Utah.
