Shane Merrill West

1971-2015

Shane M West passed away on February 6, 2015. He was the loving son to Terry & Dianne West, a grandson to Pat and Dean West, Bob and Lorraine Williams, a partner to Christy, father to Landon, Jamie, and Jeffery, grandfather to Joshuah and Anabella, big brother to Terilyn, James, Troy, Jayden, Oli, Josie, Sara and Andrew, a nephew, cousin and friend to many. Shane’s heart was huge, if he had anything someone needed he would give it to them just because, “they are things” he’d say “it’s not important.”

He worked with his family at Master Muffler and Brake of West Valley for over 20 years. Custom exhaust, broken bolts, and customer service were his specialties. Shane, his dad, and his brother made the shop friendly and reliable for our customers and their families. There was nothing they couldn’t fix. You made you dad very proud son. Shane loved tearing things apart and rebuilding them to make them better. His hobbies were KSL and DI Shopping, building gifts with his crafty hands, fishing, camping, boating, hunting, riding horses with his family (that’s where he got the nickname Tex) remote control toys, flying kites, listening to music and just goofing around. Shane lived life on his own terms, and to please others.

We have been blessed to love, laugh and cry with you for 43 years son. You made a huge difference in our lives. How lucky we are to have had someone that makes saying goodbye so hard. We are going to miss you Mellow. Always in our hearts, we will see you again.

A celebration of life will be held Thursday February 19, 2015 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm for family and friends at the Stonebridge Golf Course Club House, 4415 W. Links Dr.(2400 S. ) Come as you are and share memories. www.valleyviewfuneral.com
