Sharon was born on February 10, 1940, in Oakley, Idaho to Richard Golden Harper and Ruby Nelda Rigby. She was the 7th of 10 children. Through the example of her loving parents, Sharon grew up learning the value of family, hard work, and faith—principles that guided her throughout her life.
On May 2, 1959, Sharon married her high school sweetheart, Jerry Adams, at her family home in Oakley. Later they were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. She dedicated her life to creating a warm and nurturing home for her husband of 66 years and their 4 children.
While raising her family, Sharon was employed with the Granite School District before retiring after 26 years. Her greatest joy came from time spent with family—traveling the roads with Jerry in their fifth wheel and proudly cheering on her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren at countless sporting events, dance recitals, and choir concerts.
A beacon of strength, Sharon faced life’s challenges with grace and courage with Jerry by her side. Because of her resilience, she found the strength to keep going even when the fight felt unbearable.
Through it all, Sharon remained steadfast in her faith as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She found joy in serving others through her many church callings and acts of quiet service, ministering to others. She cherished the friends she made in her ward and neighborhood.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, older brothers Richard, Stan and Glen Harper, and older sisters Marge Dalton, Lavonda Hanson and Evelyn Teeples.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry; children, Roger (Jill), Doug (Carrie), Jill, and Amy (Andy) Olsen; and 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren whom she adored. She is also survived by her sisters, Nelda Adams and Shirley Halford; and her brother Dale Harper.
