

Sharon Ann Gordon Mangum traded time for eternity on October 27, 2021 at the age of 79. She was born September 27, 1942 in Provo, Utah; the daughter of Ruth Marian Olsen and Robert Farrell Gordon. She married Floyd L. Mangum on September 5, 1961 in the Manti, Utah LDS Temple. Together, they raised seven children in West Valley City, Utah. Sharon was a very faithful and active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She served in many callings throughout her life including primary, the young women’s program, as a Relief Society president and served a mission with her husband in the Oklahoma, Oklahoma City Mission. She was gentle and kind, and loved everyone! She invested many hours in family history work, where she was able to find thousands of her Norwegian ancestors. She was a gifted seamstress and loved to crochet. Though Sharon struggled with Parkinson’s disease for many years, she never complained and was a perfect example of enduring to the end.
She is survived by her husband, Floyd L. Mangum and their seven children: Gary (Liza) Mangum, Becky (Bob) Baird, Julie (Todd) Rindlisbacher, Brent (Catherine) Mangum, Tricia (Scott) Liddiard, Douglas (Angela) Mangum, Richard (Dawn) Mangum, 31 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 5 brothers and sisters (Jim, Ron, Jan, Steve, Kris).
A viewing will be held on Monday, November 1, 2021 from 6-8 pm at the Hunter East Stake Center (5000 W Pavant Ave, WVC, Utah). Funeral services will be held at the same address on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at 11:00 am with a short viewing from 9:30-10:30am. Interment will be at the Valley View Memorial Park Cemetery (4335 W 4100 S, WVC, Utah).
