She was and still is a good friend.
To Shirlene's family,
I was so sorry to hear about the passing of Shirlene.  We had good times here in Rexburg, Idaho, Rexburg 6th Ward.  What a wonderful lady she was and is.  She even came to the S.L. airport to see one of our sons go off on his mission.  That was the last time I saw her.  Over the years I lost track of her.  I have thought of her often.  We had lots of fun together.

To Shirlene's Family,
My sincere condolences to you at the loss of your sister, mother, and grandmother.  I had the privilege of going through junior high and high school with Shirlene.  I remember the times we did things together with great fondness.  She was always kind and caring, with a sense of humor.  We then had a short time when we were in the same ward, so could enjoy her cheerful smile and fun personality more often.  Although I've only seen her off and on over the years it was always a pleasure to visit with her and share her positive outlook on life.  I know she will be missed.  My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

Shirlene, It's hard to believe you'll no longer be there when I roam over to Fiscal.  I will always remember your kindness and thoughtfulness (and your patience when I would call out of the blue with questions).  Getting to know you was definitely one of the unexpected perks of working at DPS!  At least you'll be away from the aches and pains (not that you ever complained about them).  Thank you for your friendship over the last decade - you will be greatly missed!

Thank you for sharing all the wonderful photos of Shirlene. They show the sparkle in her eyes that I remember from our childhood days. Eyes truly are a reflection of the soul and her spirit was as lovely - and loving - as we all remember.

In my adolescent years, Shirlene and her brother Arther were my favorite cousins. As our lives traveled different paths, we lost contact for about fourty years until our last family reunion that I was able to attend. From there, Face Book helped keep us in touch.
 The memories I have I hope never fade. I love and will miss you Shirlene.

Shirlene and I grew up in Rose Park area, we went to elementary through high school.  She was always a great girl/lady. We just started FB last year and i'm glad I had that time with her. We were both born in November.
My her family be blessed from her infuildent.  May she watch over her love ones.

There are some friends who, even if not in frequent contact, stay friends forever. That's how I think of Shirlene.  We went through such good times back when our kids were young in the good old Kearns neighborhood.  We've stayed in occasional contact through the years, but that doesn't change my love for and admiration for you and your family.  Your cheerfulness in the face of adversity of all types is a wonderful example to me. Your family will miss you greatly, but because of your testimony and teachings that you share with them, they all know they will see you again.  As do I.

I have only known and worked with Shirlene for about 6 years at DPS and what a  sweetheart of a person. I will miss her and her great laugh, such a fine lady. <3.

Dear Shirlene,
I always thought of you as another mom. You were always kind, friendly and welcoming. I spent many happy hours in your home and in the blue Duster, and then the station wagon. I miss you. You were always a shining example of Christ like love and service. I feel honored to have known you. Your sweet family misses you so much. I am so thankful for the knowledge I hold dear that this is not the end. I am so grateful for the Plan of Happiness. I know you are having glorious reunions now and have to admit I'm a little jealous. Until we meet again :).

You will be missed my friend... Oh the sleep overs, your Mom's GREAT cooking... hanging out in the summer... Rest in peace..
