Born on December 14, 1942, in Midvale, Utah, Shirley was the daughter of Stanley and Dorothy Bannon. Wife to Forrest Caul, Shirley walked in love through all seasons of life. She was a proud and nurturing mother to Kim Gillett (Gary) and Russell Black (Maureen), and a loving presence in the lives of her extended family: Candy Kerr (Greg) and Forrest Caul (TyAnn). She found great joy in her role as grandmother to thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, and was a caring sister to Dean Bannon (Paul).
Shirley was preceded in death by her beloved parents, her brother Larry, her sister Marilyn, and her precious grandson Brayden.
Those who knew Shirley will remember her huge acts of service to everyone in need of love and support.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to JoLynn Bolton. Thanks to Elite Hospice Care for the care given to Shirley in her final days.
A graveside celebration of Shirley’s life and legacy will be held at Valley View Memorial Park on June 16, 2025, at 1 p.m. We invite all who loved her to join us in remembering her life and the light she shared.
Though we will miss her deeply, Shirley’s spirit lives on in each act of kindness and in the love she planted in the hearts of her family and friends.
“Well done, my good and faithful child.” —Matthew 25:21
