Our beloved Shirley was called home to the loving arms of her parents on December 6, 2018. Born July 18, 1958 to Nils Waldemar and Evelyn Agnes Larsen Nilsson in Salt Lake City, Utah. She graduated from Murray High and enjoyed time at Weber State University. She married Wayne Day in the Salt Lake City Temple in 1980, and together had 2 wonderful children. Later divorced. Married Dean Kilfoyle on March 27, 2006, in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and held many positions throughout her life. She worked for the Granite School District where she adored the many children she saw everyday. She helped shape the lives of a few sweet girls who needed her as much as she needed them.
Shirley’s whole life was her family. She cherished her husband, children and grandchildren and lived her life devoted to them. She enjoyed visiting her grandchildren, Samantha, Savannah, and Jonathan in Alaska and Hawaii. Shirley always looked forward to the time she spent with her siblings. Shirley was proud of her children and loved telling everyone about them. She had an amazing gift to love everyone unconditionally and was always there when you needed a hug. She was a fabulous cook and enjoyed making special treats during the holidays for her nieces and nephews. She was not only about family, but a best friend. We love you Shirley and will miss you dearly.

the color of your eyes,
the things that we did,
how you made us laugh,
and we do this all because you loved us
and we love you!"
