Shirley "Jeannie" Jeanne Moorman

Jeannie was born on January 11, 1949 in St. Louis, Missouri, to Jim and Annadelle Sweiger. She attended Maysville High School, and Northwest Missouri State University. She married her childhood love, Les Moorman on August 26, 1967 in Maysville, Mo.

Jeannie had a gorgeous singing voice and sang opera with the St. Joseph Symphony at a very young age. She loved riding and showing horses, and loved being in nature. She was very talented and loved scrapbooking and making holiday wreaths and arrangements. Her favorite time of year was Christmas. Jeannie enjoyed nothing more than spending time with family and spoiling those she loved. She made every birthday and holiday special. She loved being a Grandma. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was a wonderful example of living her life how Christ lived his. Her great faith helped her through many challenges. She remained kind, giving, selfless, and brave to the very end.

She is survived by her husband Les, her children Rachael and Matt, Leah and Taylor, Liz and Brad, David and Mignette, Danny and Kailey, and Bekka and Jon, her 9 beautiful grandchildren, her father Jim, and brothers Paul and David. She is preceded in death by her mother Annadelle, and her daughter Kristy Jo.
