

Our beloved father, grandfather, brother, and uncle has returned to the loving arms of our Heavenly Father. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah to parents Fred Lavern Sharp and Evelyn Frances Cleverly. Stephen enjoyed camping and fishing, and most importantly spending time with his family. Married to Emily Jean Hughes on July 8, 1972 and later sealed in the Utah Jordan River Temple in November 20, 1982, and had four loving sons: Brian (Temara), Jason (Mindee), Kevin (Marci) and Adam (Valarie). An Army Veteran serving in the Vietnam War, Stephen served his country honorably. He worked 21 years for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (retired).
Survived by his four sons and sister Pat (Mace) Holland, and brothers Brent (Claudia) Sharp and Fred (Shannon) Sharp. Stephen adored his five grandchildren: Yasmine, Braidyn, Meaghan, Jaiden and Olivia. Preceded in death by his father Fred and mother Evelyn, as well as sister Judy.
Stephen will undoubtedly be missed. His tender heart and strong embraces complimented his loving demeanor.
We invite all family members and friends to his viewing that will be held Wednesday, November 12, 2014, from 6-8 p.m. at Valley View Memorial Park and Funeral Home, located at 4335 West 4100 South, WVC, Utah.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, November 13, 2014, 11:00 a.m. with one more viewing prior to burial at 10 a.m. at the same location. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to help cover the cost of Stephen’s medical bills.
