Terry was born on October 16, 1957, in Quincy, Illinois, to Larry Rademacher and Donna Thompson. When he was eight years old, he moved to Utah with his mother, returning to her hometown. Utah became home and remained an important part of Terry’s life.
Terry spent more than 40 years as a highly skilled reefer mechanic and took great pride in his work. He had a natural mechanical ability and a gift for understanding how things worked and how to make them work better. That talent extended into his personal life, where he loved building and working on motorcycles and computers, always enjoying the challenge of fixing, improving, or figuring something out.
Terry’s devotion to family was especially evident after his stepfather, Bob Shearer, passed away in January 2025, when he stepped up to help and support his mother, Donna. Despite the breathing difficulties he had lived with since birth he continued to be there for the people he loved and pursue his interests.
Terry was preceded in death by his father, Larry Rademacher, and his stepfather, Bob Shearer. He is survived by his mother, Donna Thompson Shearer, along with family and friends who will miss him dearly.
Terry will be remembered for his mechanical talent, his determination, his love and skill of motorcycles and computers, and devotion to family.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Meadow Heights Ward, 4310 South 3200 West, West Valley City, Utah.
