Thane Joseph Brereton passed away unexpectedly on February 18, 2021. He was 59 years old. Thane was born August 14, 1961 in Payson, Utah to Ferrell Dee (Jim) and Barbara Dean Brereton. He is survived by his wife Tina Marie Brereton; six children, TJ (Stephanie) Brereton, Cody (Ember) Brereton, Shanntell Jeffs, Kassi Freeze, Hayden Brereton and Koda Brereton and six grandchildren. He was also expecting his first great-grandchild in April.
Thane was a member of Sheetmetal Local 312 for many years. He loved camping, fishing, and spending time with his family. Thane had many talents. One of his favorite hobbies was painting cars which he was amazing at. Thane could do and build anything. He was always there to lend a helping hand. He was a patient teacher and was always happy to teach or share with you his knowledge. Thane was a kind, fun loving man with a quick sense of humor and a huge teddy bear heart.
Thane loved all his children and grandchildren very much. They were his greatest blessings in life and he was so proud of them all. Thane and Tina were married 24 years. They had a deep love for one another that will outlast time. There was never a Thane without Tina or Tina without Thane.
Thane was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Barbara and his brothers, Dee Verl and Bruce.
May you rest in peace, Thane. You will be deeply missed, forever loved and always in our hearts. We love you very much.
Services will be held on Thursday, February 25 at the Hunter 6th Ward LDS Church located on 3930 S 6000 W, West Valley City, Utah. A viewing will be held from 11:00-11:45 a.m. with funeral services to follow at 12:00 p.m. Interment at Valley View Memorial Park located at 4400 W 4100 S, West Valley City, Utah.
