Toni was born in June of 1949 to Henry and Carol Berriochoa. She was the oldest child and had three siblings; Scott, Jayne and Blake who are still waiting to use the bathroom she was given to clean and then locked them out of in the 1960s. She met her husband and soul mate Stan her senior year of high school and married him Feb 3rd, 1968. They were married for 54 amazing years, had two moody kids and seven dogs; Cleo, Brunswick, Corina, Midgey, Missy, Athena and LuLew over the years. She didn't want dogs, but her love for her kids won out and eventually the dogs won her over.
Toni cared deeply for her family and anyone who she considered a friend. She always ensured they were safe, healthy and happy. She would check in on you constantly to make sure that was true. She truly excelled at comedic physical performances. The ladder, wasp nest, broken broom, sandy beach face plant or stair fall were epic works of art. Toni, hands down made the best potato salad the world has ever seen. So good in fact, that's all anyone would ask her to bring to every party over the last 50+ years. Nobody will be able to replicate it because of the unique love/hate she used while making it.
Her example of a life well lived will have a ripple effect throughout the world until the end of times. Remember life is amazing. And then it's awful. And then it's amazing again. And in between the amazing and awful it's ordinary and mundane and breathtakingly beautiful, just like her.
Toni is survived by the love of her life and husband Stan, daughter Jenny Lynn (Gaird) (thinks she is the favorite), her son Troy (secretly her favorite) and six grandchildren Jackson, Harrison, MiKenna, Addyson, Ryken and Everlee. She was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Carol, and her baby sister Jayne.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, July 6th at 11:00 am at Valley View Memorial Park 4335 W 4100 S, West Valley City, UT.
