Trixie Lee Royer

Trixie entered this world with her twin sister Trudy on February 7, 1953 to Elsie Petrea Andersen and Keith Stott Howard. She married her forever sweetheart, Jerry Dee Royer, on April 9, 1971. They are the proud parents of Jerry, David, Tawnya, Shawn and Matt. Trixie and Jerry were sealed for time and all eternity in the Jordan River Temple, with their five children in attendance, on December 18, 1982.

Trixie always lit up the world around her with her smile, recognizable laugh and deep love for others. Trixie has a gift to make those around her feel as though they are very special to her. She is a devoted mother to her children and she cherished being grandma/mimi to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and she looked forward to another great-grandson expected next month.

Trixie and Jer are soulmates and eternal loves. Through both good and difficult times, they’ve found comfort in each other's presence and refuge in their “enchanted cottage.” She loved listening to Jer play his accordion and felt a special connection to him while listening to his music.

Trixie was the best sport in any group when she would often be on the receiving end or the subject of a joke. She was naive in the sweetest way. Her laugh and good attitude brought joy into family gatherings, time with friends, Bunco nights and work environments. She graduated high school in 1971 and later worked many years at AT&T and Harland Clarke where co-workers still share many fond memories of her.

Trixie was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in many church callings she held. Her happiest days were with family. She loves chocolate, pastel colors and carnation flowers.

Trixie, with aching hearts, it’s our turn to say WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH.

Trixie is survived by her husband, Jerry; and five children, Jerry/Lindsay (Jonathan, Brenna, Benjamin), David/Jessica (Jade, Sierha, Mhilo), Tawnya/Eric Brimhall (Aaron/Salome (Luca, Rue), Alexa/Tyler (Sy), Tag/Catherine (baby boy on his way), Isla, Lily, Liam), Shawn/Kim (Zachary, Aubrey, Mollie, Jacob, Gabriella) and Matthew/Alyssa. She is also survived by her mother, two brothers, Jeff (Shelly) and Kevin (Lisa); twin sister Trudy Foster, sisters, Leslie Marsing (Craig), Patti Aitken, Teresa Atkinson (Jeff), sister-in-law Shirley Johnston, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Joyce Davis (Mark) and Neil Royer (Kris).

She was preceded in death by her father Keith Howard, brother Keith Howard, Jr., father-in-law and mother-in-law Jerald and Stella Pauline Royer, brothers-in-law Richard Royer, Thomas Royer, Glen Aitken and Dale Foster, sister-in-law Debbie VanMatre Howard, nephews Lucas Aitken and Trevor Jon Davis, niece LaPreal Panina Marie Tafiti Davis Flemings and grandson Anthony Todd Brimhall.

Trixie’s family will greet family and friends on Wednesday August 11 from 9:00-10:45 a.m. followed by an 11:00 a.m. service at the Kearns 6th Ward chapel, 4260 West 5215 South, Kearns, Utah 84118.

Our family wishes to express gratitude for the dignified, loving and determined care rendered to Trixie at Intermountain Medical Center during efforts to save her life.
