The most wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, Twila Larsen Pearson, age 82, passed away September 18, 2017, in Salt Lake City, Utah. She has gone to watch over us and prepare our eternal home. She was born December 30, 1934, in Duchesne, Utah, to William Otto and Agnes Kenison Larsen. She married Roy Heber Pearson on October 8, 1953, in the Salt Lake Temple. She loved her family, music, and flowers. She also loved to sew and happily worked hours creating the perfect outfit for everyone.
She is survived by her husband, Roy; children, Duane (Tawney) Pearson, Carolyn Parker, Sandra (Kevin) Crockett, Kevin (Jessica) Pearson; 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren, with one coming; brothers, Aullen, Kirk, Nolan; and sister, LaRee. Preceded in death by her parents, brother, and granddaughter.
Twila was a dedicated member of the LDS Church and served faithfully in the Relief Society, Primary, and Sunday School, as well as wherever else she was needed. Twila was taught by her mother at an early age how to play the piano, thus her love for music. This love carried on as she served as ward organist. She and her husband, Roy, served as service missionaries, a calling that they both loved and enjoyed. Those they served were cherished as special friends, never to be forgotten. She loved the Lord and taught her children to love Him, too.
Services will be held Friday, September 22, 2017, at 12 noon at the Rose Park 7th Ward South Chapel, 1155 North 1200 West, Salt Lake City, Utah. A viewing will be held at 10 a.m. at the church prior to the service. Interment at Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West 4100 South, West Valley City, Utah.
