Our father and grandfather of 92 years passed away on March, 13, 2022 from complications of cancer. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on January 3, 1930 to Rennes Clover and Walter George Sterzer. He was drafted into the army from 1951-1953 and worked for Hill Air Force Base for 30 years and then worked another 10 years for Hercules.
Alan was married to Jean Turpin Sterzer for 52 years until she passed away in 2005. They had 3 sons and one daughter. He was a proud veteran and enjoyed his days at the VFW and Eagles Clubs, where he had many friends. His favorite thing was sports. Alan coached little league baseball for his sons. He lead their team to victory multiple times, winning multiple championships. When his grandchildren started playing sports, baseball, football, softball, soccer, basketball and swimming lessons he would even go to their practices. He lived a very healthy life until the last few months and got up every day ready to go and do something, he always kept busy. He was proud of his children and extra proud of his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all of us.
