

Wanda Lee Peacock Snow Born Dec 11th, 1936, Passed away Sept 17th 2014 after a brave journey through Alzheimer’s. Born and raised in Price UT, she graduated from Carbon High School then completed a teaching degree at BYU. She married Orlo L. Snow in March of 1959 in the Manti, UT temple, bearing and raising 5 children with him. Wanda Lee was a gifted 1st grade teacher, winning the hearts and minds of generations of primary school children and their parents alike, and returned to school herself receiving a Master’s Degree in Education from the U of U. She was active and devout in the LDS religion serving many years as stake Primary president. Following were roles she found challenging and daunting as a teacher and counselor in the relief society, she found challenging and daunting but which she embraced with grace and dignity, as she did in all the endeavors of her life. Wanda Lee also worked at the Jordon River Temple for many years and served LDS missions in Louisville, KY; LDS Corrections; and the Palmyra, NY Temple Missions with her husband.
Wanda Lee is survived by her husband Orlo Lealand Snow, daughters Tawnia Lee Newton (Joseph) and Tamera Lin Snow, and her son Gregory Laird Snow (Marilyn) as well as 9 grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She is preceded in death by a son, Parry Lealand Snow, a daughter, Shari Lowene Snow, Her parents, Leland & Edna Peacock, her brother Var Lynn Peacock and her sister Lenora Rae Colton.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, Sept 22nd, 2014 at the Hunter East Stake Center, 5000 W. Pavant, Ave, West Valley City, UT 84120. Calling hours will be Sunday, Sept 21st 2014 from 5-7 at the Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 W. 4100 So, West Valley City, 84120 and Monday 12-12:45 at the Hunter East Stake Center.
