Wanema June Thomas

Wanema June Thomas, age 88, passed away January 31, 2023 at Beaver Dam, Arizona. She was born October 21, 1934 in West Virginia to Ralph and Willa Cunningham. Wanema Married Richard (Dick) Thomas. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Wanema loved spending her time painting and going shopping. She cherished being with her grandkids and playing with her cats. She enjoyed going through all her stuff and decorating. Going to church every Sunday was something that she always looked forward to. Wanema loved beyond words, and will be missed beyond measure.

Surviving relatives include her children: Dana Zvonaric, David Zvonaric, and Millie Ruiz; Siblings: Dora Jean Nichols, Loretta Davis, Alma Lease, Marsha Norton, Bill Cunningham; Grandchildren: 10; Great Grandchildren: 14.

Preceded in death by: Willa & Ralph Cunningham, Eugene Cunningham, Virgil Cunningham, Dorothy Shoe, Richard Thomas, Crystal & Kevin Barlow, Justin Wade Zvonaric, and Walter Jessie Ruiz.

A Viewing will take place on Thursday, March 2, 2023 from 1:00 PM-1:45 PM at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, Utah 84120. A Graveside Service will follow at 2:00 PM at Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West 4100 South, West Valley City, Utah 84120.
