July 4, 1942 - June 15, 2014
Wesley Wayne “Winken” Wrigley, a cowboy at heart, was reunited with his dad on Father’s Day, June 15, 2014, due to injuries sustained in a fall.
He was born on the 4th of July, 1942 to Bob and Evelyn Wrigley.
Wayne was a man of few words, but he didn’t need them because his actions spoke volumes. If you asked him for something, you always knew his answer was going to immediately be “no” but “no” was never actually the case, he was happy to assist anyone that needed him. He was a dedicated grandfather, never missing a grandchild’s sporting event or school program. He enjoyed rodeo, football, NASCAR, John Wayne and tinkering around in his garage.
Survived by his wife Carol, son Richard (Gina) Wrigley, daughter Cori (Russel) McClellan, grandchildren Shandy, Kyle, Bailey and Garrett, great-grandchildren Brynlee and Bridger, sisters Bobbie (Cal) Johnson and Vicki (Todd) Inman and his faithful dog Rusty. Preceded in death by parents, Bob and Evelyn Wrigley.
Viewing to be held at Valley View Funeral Home on Friday, June 20th from 11:30 to 1:30. Graveside services to follow at 2:00 pm at Valley View Memorial.
