Wilbert M Moore

1921-2014

Bud Moore, age 92, was reunited with his wife of 65 years on November 12, 2014. He was born on December 25, 1921 in Beallsville, OH to Harley and Mercy Denoon Moore. He married Genevieve Kelley on September 14, 1942 in Uniontown, PA. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He worked for U.S. Steel in Pittsburgh, PA and later retired after forty years of service. He was a member of the FOE #3285 and was a lifetime member of the VFW.

Bud loved to camp, hunt, fish and garden. Most of all, he had a very special place in his heart for his grandchildren.

He is survived by his children; Gloria Steele, Harley (Terre) and Mick (Karen), nine grandchildren and many great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jenny, parents and sister, Wilma.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Legacy Village Assisted Living and Brighton Hospice for their loving care.

Graveside Services will be held Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West 4100 South. The family will receive friends at a viewing on Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South and one hour prior to the service. www.valleyviewfuneral.com
