“Willie”

William “Willie” Earl Draper left this life peacefully in his sleep on September 8, 2011, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

He was born December 15, 1953 in Richfield, Utah to C. Bryce and Lucy Dawn Brower Draper. He spent his youth in Cache Valley and graduated from Sky View High School. He met and married his best friend and sweetheart, Sherrie Burningham. They made their home in West Valley City, where they raised 3 beautiful children, Madalynne (Andrew) Twomey, Samantha (Kevin) Wittke, and Russell (Suzanne) Draper. Willie spent much of his life as parts manager of various car dealerships. He loved the outdoors, boating, fishing, hunting, and collecting guns. One of his favorite activities was to play pool with friends and family. He drew people to him with his ready smile, infectious laugh, and positive outlook. Last and foremost, he was a family man. There was no place he’d rather be than at home surrounded by his wife, children and grandchildren.

His is survived by his loving wife, children, 4 grandchildren, his sisters, Susan Darlene, and his brother, Darrel. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dee Bryce Draper.

Memorial Services for Willie will be held Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South.
