William Glen Durfey

With deep love and gratitude for a life well lived, we announce the passing of William Glen Durfey, who passed away peacefully on August 5, 2026 at the age of 92.

Born on June 4, 1934 in Upalco, Utah, Bill lived a life defined by faith, family, hard work, and quiet devotion. He shared 66 wonderful years of marriage with the love of his life, Dorthella Murray Durfey, building together a legacy rooted in love, kindness, and unwavering commitment.

Above all else, he cherished his family. He was the proud father of six children, a beloved grandfather to 21 grandchildren, and was blessed to know the joy of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. His greatest accomplishments were not measured by titles or possessions, but by the family he nurtured and the values he passed on through his example.

Those who knew him will remember his gentle spirit, steady presence, and the simple pleasures that brought him happiness. Few things brought him more contentment than sitting down with a deck of cards and spending hours playing solitaire—a quiet pastime that reflected his patient and thoughtful nature.

His life was one of love, loyalty, and perseverance. He taught those around him the importance of keeping your word, caring for family, and appreciating life’s simple moments. Though he will be deeply missed, the memories he created and the love he shared will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

He is survived by his five children; Bradley (Pamela), Michael (Becki), William “Craig” (Andrea), Deanna (Roger), Steve (Heidi); grandchildren; great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; along with many extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William Glen Durfey Sr., Hope Ione Lambrum Durfey, his first born son, Bryon Glen Durfey, his wife, Dorthella, and all of his siblings.

A funeral service will be held on August 10, 2026 at 11:00 at Valley View Funeral Home. A viewing will take place prior to services at 10:00. Interment will follow at Valley View Memorial Park following the services.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has offered their love, prayers, and support during this time. We find comfort in knowing that his legacy of love will continue through the generations he leaves behind.
