“Billie”
Wilma “Billie” Whittaker, age 82, passed away on September 1, 2011 in Salt Lake City. She was born on October 2, 1928 in Garfield, Utah to Rebekah Thomas and Iral Nielsen. Graduated from Cyprus High School. Member of the LDS church. She married Bob J. Whittaker on February 16, 1948 and they had three children. She enjoyed arts and crafts, traveling to Quartsite, Arizona and being with her family.
Billie is survived by her children, Sandy (Dennis) Ketterer, Kerry (Christy) Whittaker and Jody Whittaker; brothers, Robert (Myrna) Nielsen and Gary Nielsen and sister, Leora Loy; 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Bob and two sisters, Iralene Varney and Linda Nielsen.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at 12:00 noon at Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West 4100 South. The family will receive friends at a viewing on Tuesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South.
