Akira Shigemura, age 89 passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2021.
Services for Akira will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 2:30 pm in the Westminster Memorial Park Main Chapel with an interment service to follow. Arrangements under the direction of Westminster Memorial Park, 14801 Beach Blvd. Westminster, CA 92683. (714) 893-2421

We wish you peace in knowing that your dad/uncle/grandpa/friend/teacher and mentor is also at peace and reunited with the love of his life. Akira and Roz were always better together!
I cherish the memories of him trying to get a handle of the weeds that grow so well in Hilo - so funny! I always thought the town was too small for him. I think Cali was where he and you belonged. Imagine if you had started the Eagle club there!
You can't fake kids. We can assess one of the truest measures of the man Akira by how well his children and grandchildren are doing. He's not really gone you know. He just moved on to another computer terminal.
