I used to visit a bit with Al when he'd sit in the doorway of the garage and I would walk by, walking the neighbor's German shepherd.    Al would have marsh mellows to give to Jesse (dog) and even though I didn't approve of such a diet for Jesse, I knew it gave Al pleasure to give the dog a treat!

Dear Daddy,
Thank you for the sacrifices you made for our family.  You were always an exceptionally hard worker and an excellent provider for our family. I'm so proud that you were a World War II Veteran!  You were among the "Greatest Generation" and I appreciate your service to our country. Thank you for all you've done for me!  I look forward to the day that we are all reunited in heaven. No more tears, no more good-byes, no more sadness, just Jesus Christ and His love. I love you!
