

She was born in La Mesa, New Mexico and lived there as a child and young adult. She moved to Bakersfield, California in 1949 then moved to Los Angeles County in 1962. She was employed by several aerospace companies and retired from Rockwell.
On her spare time Anita loved spending time and visiting all her family. She would pack her car and drive to visit her brothers, sisters cousins, nieces and nephews at times hundreds of miles away. She loved going camping and would stay weeks at a time at Thousand Trails. She enjoyed crocheting doilies and table clothes and loved gardening. She also had fun working on crossword puzzles.
Anita is preceded in death by her parents Cruz Armijo and Tereza Albillar Armijo, Magdalena Basham (sister), Cruz Armijo (brother), Raymundo Armijo (brother), Celso Armijo (brother) Tomas Armijo (brother), Bonifacio Armijo (brother) and Antonia Basham (niece).
Anita is lovingly remembered by her youngest sister, Rosa Zamarripa of Sacramento. Her nieces; Mary Boots, Delia Landa and Linda Mata. Her nephews; Michael Walker and Robert Martinez and all her other family that loved her dearly.
A service of remembrance will be held on July 27th, 2021 at Westminster Memorial Park. A viewing will be from 9:00am - 9:30am. Then, a mass from 9:30am to 10:30am with a burial to follow. A reception will be held following the services at Linda Mata’s house in Rancho Palos Verdes.
