My sincerest condolences on your loss of Art.  I spoke with Frankie recently and he informed that Art was very ill.  I have fond memories of my young years in Santa Ana and knowing the Palomino boys.  Again, I am sorry to hear of his passing.

We are all so sorry to hear about the loss of your Father.  I enjoyed getting to know him over the years and seeing you all at family gatherings.  Art was the head of a very beautiful and loving family and I know he was a very proud father and grandfather.  I always loved to watch him dance with your Mother as I know he had a passion for music and I also loved how he was so young at heart.  It was very touching to see the way he cared for your Mother during her illness.  May God bless you all and help you through this very difficult time.  He is well now and smiling down at all of you from heaven.

Arthur Palomino, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away on March 30, 2012.
Arthur was born to Frank and Irene Palomino on August 21, 1933, in Westminster, CA. As a child, his father was one of the plaintiffs in the landmark court case Mendez, et al v. Westminster in 1945 that ended racial segregation in California schools. The plaintiffs of Mendez, Palomino, Estrada, Guzman and Ramirez families filed a class action lawsuit on behalf of 5,000 Mexican American children to integrate schools in four Orange County school districts, Westminster, El Modena, Santa Ana, and Garden Grove.
On October 6, 1962, he married Beatrice Hernandez, and they lived in Santa Ana where they raised their three children. Arthur worked for California Umbrella Company for over 25 years and later retired from Flexible Metal Hose.
He is survived by his wife, Beatrice Palomino, of 50 years; his children, Annette Diogostine, Veronica Martinez, and Andrew Palomino; five grandchildren, Jennifer, Dallas and Briana Diogostine and Oscar and Ciara Martinez; sister, Sally Hernandez;  brother, Frank Palomino; son-in-laws; an uncle; an aunt; nieces; nephews; and cousins.  
A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 9 at 12:00P at Westminster Memorial Park, 14801 Beach Blvd, in Westminster.

I pray that God will give you all peace and comfort at this time.  I will continue to keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers.  Keep his memories close to your heart.
