

Barbara went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 8, 2011. She was 83. Barbara Lou Angier was born on February 25, 1928, in Beardstown, IL. Her family later moved to Riverside, IL, where she graduated from Riverside High School. After high school, she worked for the telephone company and modeled for the Patricia Stevens Modeling Agency in Chicago. She married her high school sweetheart, Edward V. Koijane, in 1949. The family moved to California in 1952. She was a 40 year resident of Huntington Beach. For the past 13 years, she was blessed to share her life with her beloved companion, Clyde Gibble. She loved being a wife, mother and homemaker and enjoyed painting, crafts, gardening and volunteering. She is preceded in death by her husband Edward Koijane, mother Veda Angier Dunn, father Wilbur Angier and sister Bettyrae Strohecker. She is survived by her daughters Peggy Kleffman (Bob), Patti Thorpe (Greg), Penny Pereboom (Wayne), son Edward A. Koijane (Karen), and grandchildren Jenny, Jeffrey, Robyn, Lisa, Brian and Owen. A memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 22nd at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Huntington Beach. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in her name, to Redeemer Lutheran Church, Crystal Cathedral Ministries or Heartland Hospice.
