SHIMAZU, Ben Ko, age 90, of Huntington Beach, California, WWII U.S. Army veteran and charter member of VFW Kazuo Masuda Memorial Post 3670, passed away suddenly on February 6, 2017. He was born on Sept. 6, 1926 in Venice, CA.
He was predeceased by his parents, Joichi and Shizuka Shimazu; brother, Mitsuo, Tom, Roy, and sister, Jean Tanaka.
He is survived by his loving family; wife, Mae Harumi Shimazu; daughters, Sandie and Lisa (Eddie) Nakasone; grandsons, Matthew, Brett, and Jett Nomura; granddaughter, Lani Nakasone; sisters in law, Michi Shimazu, Bertha Shimazu and Mitzi Shiba. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 9:30am at Westminster Memorial Park Mortuary, 14801 Beach Blvd., Westminster, CA
The family request that flowers be omitted, casual attire please.
