Benton F. Kunnecke

Benton Kunnecke, known to friends as "Ben", passed away peacefully on August 9, 2018 at the age of 91.

Born September 24, 1926 in San Antonio, Texas, Ben enlisted in the army and served his country during the Korean War, receiving an Honorable Discharge in December 1946.

He attended the University of Texas, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration in 1951. He also attended the Institute of Industrial Relations at the University of California earning a Certificate of Industrial Relations in 1965.

He had a successful 47 year career at both Douglas and McDonald Douglas, retiring as a Director of Labor Relations in 1998.

He and his wife, Nicole, enjoyed many trips to Europe and throughout the United States.

Having lived in Southern California for most of his life, Ben is survived by his wife of 48 years, a daughter in law, two granddaughters, and a mother in law.

Ben loved his family, gardening, and playing tennis. He was a dedicated father, coaching the little league baseball team, and a good and encouraging father.

Ben had a wealth of stories, given his long and interesting life, and he loved to tell them.

Ben will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
